UK parliamentary General Election 2017

The House of Commons' has voted to hold a UK Parliamentary General Election on: Thursday 8 June 2017.


Register to vote

If you are already on the register of electors and entitled to vote you should receive a poll card no later than 15 May. If you have not received a poll card by this date, make sure you register to vote by 22 May.

On polling day you will be able to vote from 7am to 10pm. You can find your polling station on our website.


Eligibility

Visit Your Vote Matters to check if you can vote in the General Election.

You can vote if you are:

  • 18 or over on the 8 June 
  • a British, Irish or Commonwealth citizen resident at an address in the UK (or a British citizen living abroad who has been registered to vote in the UK in the last 15 years)
