Official notice: The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places

Representation of the People Act 1983

The Review of Polling Districts and Polling Places (Parliamentary Elections) Regulations 2006

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with the above regulations, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is conducting a review of polling districts and polling places. The review will cover those polling districts and polling places used in connection with parliamentary elections held within the Kingston and Surbiton constituency and those within the Richmond Park constituency located within the boundaries of the Royal Borough.

The review will commence on 15 September 2014 and will focus on those Polling Districts and Polling Places where particular issues arose at the time of the 2014 Combined Elections or where circumstances have changed since then. The review will be completed in time to enable the Electoral Registration Officer to make any alterations necessary to the Register of Electors when it is next fully revised by 1 December 2014.

Representations will be sought from the (Acting) Returning Officers for the two constituencies and from any person or body with expertise in access to premises or facilities for persons with a disability.

Any registered elector within the Kingston and Surbiton or Richmond Park constituencies may make representations.

Representations, where possible, should include alternative places that may be used as polling places and should be made in writing to the Electoral Services Office, Guildhall, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU or alternatively by emailing [email protected]

The deadline for receipt of representations is 27 October 2014.

Any representations received will be available for public inspection.

Details of existing polling districts and polling places can be found on our website or by visiting the Electoral Services Office between 10am and 4pm on any working day.
