Review of our statement of licensing policy
We are carrying out a review of our statement of licensing policy. This review has resulted in a number of small amendments which largely reflect changes in legislation and in particular the definitions of regulated entertainment.
Details of the changes being proposed can be found at annex 3 to item 5 of the licensing committee meeting held on 17 October 2013. Details of the new legislation can be found in annex 2 to that report.

The consultation period ended on the 17 January 2014.
What happens next
If no comments were received, or those received during the consultation period are in support of the proposed amendments, the revised policy will be automatically referred to Council on 27 February 2014 for approval.
However, any comments made that were not in support of the changes, or propose additional changes to the policy not already considered by members of the Council, will be considered by the licensing committee at its next meeting on 29 January 2014.
