Library fines and charges

Library fines and charges for 2014–15 have been reviewed. We welcomed any comments on the proposals by Friday 1 November 2013.

This consultation ended on Friday 1 November.

Proposed library charges for 2014-2015 including items, current charges 2013-2014, proposed charges 2014-2015 and notes.

Late return charges on overdue library materials.

Books and spoken word cassettes-CDs:

Current charges 2013-2014: Adults- 21p
Proposed charges 2014-2015: Adults- 25p
Notes: Applied to each item per open day up to a maximum charge of £10. It is proposed to increase this level from £7 in line with rise in daily rate. Propose increasing the number of renewals without bringing items back to the library from 3 to 5 mitigate the effects of the rise in charge

Current charges 2013-2014: People aged 75 and over: no fines on overdue spoken word cassettes
