Getting medicine to people when they are self-isolating

Self-isolating can be a worrying time for some residents as they stay inside to keep safe, but also need to get their usual supplies such as emergency food parcels, precooked meals and medicines.

Kingston Stronger Together was established by the council in partnership with Kingston Voluntary Action and Volunteering Kingston, to ensure our residents get the help they need during the pandemic.

As part of Kingston Stronger Together, the Council’s Neighbourhood Rangers and Cycle Instructors have teamed up with volunteers from Good Gym and the wider community to collect and deliver 170 prescriptions for residents across the borough.

One volunteer even managed to source a dental repair kit for a very grateful, self-isolating resident when a filling came out!
