Kingston Adult Education (KAE) has been serving the needs of local residents for over 40 years, adapting and changing over the years as required by its community.

Employment Skills

Job Search Programme

Work with an Advice and Guidance Officer to help your job search, apply for jobs, complete application forms, practise interview skills, find out about different career options which match your skills and apply for courses and university.  Small group and individual support provided.

Childcare & Teaching Assistants 

Vocational training for those wanting to work in childcare or become a teaching assistant.  Learners arrange work experience and are supported in the workplace as well as through tutor-led delivery of skills and knowledge via face-to-face and blended learning.  Courses start at level 1 with progression routes right through to level 3.

Special Educational Needs & Counselling

Gain a qualification and pursue a career in supporting individuals with special educational needs with the Principles of Special Educational Need Level 3 Certificate course. Other specialist qualifications offered include the Understanding Autism Level 2 Certificate and the Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties Level 2 Certificate. Learn to use counselling skills in everyday life and for work with the Counselling Skills Level 2 Certificate course.

Book-keeping  

Accredited courses from level 1 to 3 in manual book-keeping. Perfect for self-employed, small businesses or for gaining work in accounts departments in larger organisations.

IT Digital skills 

Essential computer skills for beginners and more experienced users designed to increase your confidence when using IT, ensure your safety online and increase your employability skills.
