Appointment of Sharon Houlden, Executive Director of Social Care and Health
The Royal Borough of Kingston has appointed Sharon Houlden as its new Executive Director of Social Care and Health.
Sharon is joining Kingston Council at a crucial time. The Council is focused in its ambition to be progressive in its thinking to deliver the best possible outcomes for its communities. Sharon will play an essential role in helping to develop the integrated care system for Kingston and especially the work to support intergenerational complex lives.
As the national policy lead for digital communications and technology for the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, and a member of the Department for Health and Social Care Digital Social Care Advisory Group, Sharon brings significant experience and an impressive national profile.

As the Executive Director of Social Care and Health I look forward to working with these communities to develop and deliver an integrated care system that can support everyone’s needs. In particular, I’m looking forward to working with officers, elected members and partners in Kingston to embed and build on the high standards of practice and performance, and achieve ambitious goals that will prepare Kingston for the future.”
Sharon is aiming to start her new role with Kingston in the Autumn.
