Health Visitors Service
Kingston's Health Visiting Service - delivered by YourHealthcare - is an amazing resource available to parents and carers of children under five years of age.
Health Visitors can advise on all aspects of development and wellbeing, such as breastfeeding, weaning, teething, sleeping and immunsations until a child is five years old. Many Health Visitors also have additional qualifications in a range of relevant fields, such as midwifery and paediatric nursing. They are able to signpost new parents and carers to couselling services, support groups for parents and carers with children with behavioural and sleeping problems, and can also signpost people to psychosexual counselling and stop smoking services.
Health Visitor contact details can be found in the red book that each child has, by contacting your GP surgery, or by calling the Health Visitors Service number directly, on 020 8339 8000.
