Option 4: Find accommodation in the Private Rented Sector independently
Information for guests
If you have the means to pay the deposit and rent for accommodation in the private rental sector, you can find tips for accessing the private rental sector on the Council webpages. You may choose to rent accommodation with a friend or a group of friends to reduce the cost.
Kingston Council cannot act as a guarantor for private rental agreements. Kingston Council can provide a letter confirming that the Ukrainian guest is part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
When a hosting arrangement ends, either the guest or host will need to fill out this Departure Form to inform the council of the date that the guest moved out. This then prompts the council to update their records and stop Thank You payments, preventing an invoice being issued.
