Landlord Supported Services

The Council also offers various assisted services to help you with your licence application and meeting the required fire standards in your HMO (licensable and non-licensable). 

Assisted HMO Licence Application Service

This service is available to landlords to guide them through the HMO licensing process and how to meet the Council's fire and amenity standards.  This includes a site visit with detailed schedule of works, help with completing the application form, guidance on the supporting documents required and an annotated fire plan.  The fire plan is for diagrammatic purposes only and indicates the grade and category of the fire alarm system required as per LACORS.  The appointed designer and installer of the system must ensure there is adequate coverage in line with relevant British Standard.

This service is available for £300 per property.

Assisted HMO Fire Standards Service

This service is available to landlords for licensed or non-licensable HMOs to assist them in meeting the Council's fire standards. 

On provision of a current floor of your property, this Service will annotate the plan detailing works required to meet the LACORS fire guidance.  The fire plan is for diagrammatic purposes only and indicates the grade and category of the fire alarm system required as per LACORS.  The appointed designer and installer of the system must ensure there is adequate coverage in line with relevant British Standard.

This is available from £120 per property.

HMO Licensing Mortgage Company Letter

We can also provide a letter confirming your property is licenced or compliant with our standards for your mortgage provider. 

This service is available from £100 per property.
