Discover the joys of weaving in the fabulous setting of Surbiton Hall with an amazing array of equipment and resources. Make samples and individual projects in fabric, rug weaving, tapestry, braids or spinning. No experience necessary. Students work on individual projects in a workshop environment. Students learn a range of techniques from their chosen specialism (fabric weaving, rug weaving, spinning, braids or woven tapestry.)
- What will I learn?

You will develop a comprehensive grounding in at least one of the following areas: setting up a 4 or 8 shaft loom and producing woven samples/project; setting up a tapestry frame and producing woven tapestry project; setting up an inkle loom or marudai stool and producing braids; carding fleece and producing handspun yarn samples.

- What do I need to bring with me to class?

Please bring with you a notebook, A4 ringbinder, tape measure and scissors. Equipment is supplied but there will be additional material costs for your project. Some materials can be purchased from the tutor as required.

- An early booking discount of 5% is available for all enrolments up to and including the 31st of August. This course is priced at £412.30 for individuals in receipt of a income based state benefit. You will need to be able to provide relevant documentation as evidence. Concessions cannot be used in conjunction with each other.
