Drawing from life models, you will explore a range of different approaches to drawing the human figure. These will include different methods of measurement, including pencil measuring and alignment; gestural drawing; analysing the body as shapes; anatomy and study of specific areas and experimenting with different media.
- What will I learn?

On this course you will: improve your ability to observe and draw the subtleties of the human form; learn how to structure a drawing; improve proportional drawing skills; develop an understanding of anatomy; be able to analyse light and shade; see the human figure in new ways.
- What are the entry requirements?

The course is suitable for anyone seeking a well-structured and varied course with lots of input from the tutor. Suitable for people keen to improve their observational drawing skills.
- What do I need to bring with me to class?

For the first class, you will need 2 bulldog clips and approximately 4 sheets of any A2 paper, pencils, willow charcoal, eraser and any other personally preferred drawing materials. A full materials list will be given at the first lesson.

- An early booking discount of 5% is available for all enrolments up to and including the 31st of August. This course is priced at £268.13 for individuals in receipt of a income based state benefit. You will need to be able to provide relevant documentation as evidence. Concessions cannot be used in conjunction with each other.
