Tudor Drive takes off for World Book Week

Tudor Drive library welcomed 25 classes from Fern Hill and St Agatha’s primary schools through the door during World Book Week.

In addition to the Aviation Festival, the library also welcomed 25 classes from Fern Hill and St Agatha’s primary schools through the door during World Book Week for Story Taster sessions with Kate Priestley. This also provided an opportunity for pupils to look around and find out how to join the library.  Mike Treacy also visited St Agatha’s to do storytelling sessions.

The week long storytelling and book borrowing marathon seems to have paid off as a steady stream of children and their parents have been joining, and both schools now want to regularly bring classes in to the library.

Rhyme Time membership has also doubled over the last few months since the library started advertising on Netmums.
