Kingston Adult Education offering free GCSE courses in English and maths

Kingston Adult Education is offering free GCSE courses in English and maths to people over the age of 19 at the Open Learning Centre in Kingston town centre.

Anyone who may be interested in a course at Kingston Adult Education, including maths and English GCSEs, is invited to come along for an informal discussion.

Courses are open to those without a grade A* to C in either English or Maths and start in mid-September.

Applicants will need to have lived in an EU country for the past three years to enrol.

Councillor Andrea Craig, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Education and Skills at Kingston Council, said:

“This is a brilliant opportunity for people to revisit and gain those important GCSEs in English and maths. Completing either a year long course, or the intensive three-month course, can have the potential to unlock new job opportunities and career paths - I recommend that as many people as possible find out more and discuss your options with our team at the Open Learning Centre. It could be life changing.”
