Working together for a safer Kingston in National Hate Crime Awareness Week
This National Hate Crime Awareness Week (14-21 October) Kingston Council is working together with partners to demonstrate our diverse and inclusive borough is no place for hate.
Kingston is one of the safest boroughs in London and the council is committed to making it even safer for all communities.
There will be a range of activities and events taking place across the borough to mark the week.

Councillor Afy Afilaka, Kingston Council Portfolio Holder for Culture, Heritage and Governance said:
“This National Hate Crime Awareness Week, I want to reaffirm Kingston’s commitment to being a supportive and safe borough for all. We are extremely proud of Kingston's diversity, and will challenge discrimination in all its forms. Our whole community has a part to play in ensuring hate crime isn't tolerated in our borough.
“As a council, we recognise how important this is. Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy Inclusive Kingston highlights the need to work with partners and communities across the borough to understand and monitor hate crime and support those affected. We will continue to actively work to challenge all forms of hate crime in the borough.”
