Housing landlord drop-in service launched at Surbiton Library

New housing landlord service at surbiton library

Kingston Council has launched an additional Community Hub pilot drop-in space for residents requiring landlord services.

Starting on Tuesday 5 September, the new service will operate fortnightly out of Surbiton Library. It is part of the council’s ongoing commitment to bring services out into communities, making it easier for residents to access what they need.

Residents will be able to see a housing officer in person, with no appointment needed, to get advice and support about their housing and tenancy with Kingston Council.

Housing Landlord Service already hosts a similar weekly drop-in session at Hook Centre, Chessington, which has been in place since 2021.

Councillor Emily Davey, portfolio holder for Housing, said:

“Kingston Council is committed to making it as easy as possible for our tenants and leaseholders to contact the housing service.

“The drop-in sessions at Surbiton Library is just one of the ways we are making Kingston’s housing department more accessible to our residents.”

The service will run every fortnight on a Tuesday, from 10am-4pm, initially until the end of January 2024.

Residents can still pre-book an appointment to see a housing officer at the council’s Guildhall site - you can do this by emailing housing.officers@kingston.gov.uk or by calling the Contact Centre on 0208 547 5000.

The service’s confirmed dates at Surbiton Library are:
