Leaseholders Handbook

Resident involvement

We have found that our leaseholders expect the Council to keep them informed about changes that affect them. Many of our leaseholders do not have the time to attend regular meetings, but they still want to give feedback on services the council provides.

The Home Ownership Group provides leaseholders with an opportunity to discuss new policies and hear about the work we are doing and speak to officers directly about repairs, service charges and other issues. There are also other ways to get involved and make a difference. These include:

  • responding to postal and telephone surveys
  • joining focus or working groups
  • attending conferences
  • responding to website or email contact
  • going to exhibitions and surgeries.

We are gradually adding new ways you can choose to get involved and you can view the latest options for getting involved on the housing website.
