The Surbiton to Kingston scheme is partially complete.

Works on Avenue Elmers and Palace Road were completed in February 2017 and a new one-way cycle lane on St Mark's Hill was opened in April 2017.

New signage and permanent traffic islands have been installed in Surbiton Crescent.

In January works commenced on installation of the new cycle lane and footpath widening on Claremont Road between The Crescent and the Maple Road junction.

Works are now being undertaken to install new controlled crossings at the Maple Road/Claremont Road Junction.

Temporary traffic signals and pedestrian crossings will be in place during the junction works. Traffic delays are expected.

Works may require temporary parking suspensions as the work progresses. Please observe and adhere to any no-parking cones in place.

All efforts will be made to ensure that noisy operations are kept to a minimum. However, some noise, smoke and dust is inevitable with this type of work.
