Kingston upon Thames is one of the safest boroughs in London. Policing within Kingston is provided by the Metropolitan Police.
Kingston Police operates a dedicated Community Safety Unit within the borough. A team of specially trained officers investigate hate crimes, including domestic violence and where the victim has been targeted due to race, faith, sexual orientation or disability.
Safer Neighbourhood Teams
Each ward within the borough also has a dedicated team of police called a Safer Neighbourhood Team. You can find the local contact details for Kingston Police and Safer Neighbourhood teams on the Metropolitan Police website.
The Neighbourhood Watch scheme is supported by Kingston Police and aims to give you relevant information on local crime and disorder issues and crime prevention tips. Neighbourhood Watch is free to join, there are no meetings to attend and you can choose to receive information by leaflet or email.
To join Kingston Neighbourhood Watch, email [email protected] or contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team. Follow Kingston Neighbourhood Watch on Twitter @KingstonNHW and at Kingston NHW on Facebook.
