Faith Talks: The economy

Faith Talks

The 4th Installment of our popular Faith Talks series, this time centred on The Economy - How do we build an economy that works for us all?

A "Town Hall" style debate with a Speaker, Host and Panelists with the option for the audience to pose questions to the panel.

With the recent change in government, what are our expectations in dealing with a continued downturn in the economy and how does this affect public services?  Does a decline in public service make communities more susceptible to the messages of far-right parties?  How can we make the economy work for all members of society?

Our main Speaker Bishop Peter Selby became Bishop of Kingston in 1984, then took up the William Leech Professorial Fellowship in Applied Theology, where he began his research interest in this evening’s theme.  His is author of “Grace and Mortgage” The Language of Faith and the Debt of the World and “An Idol Unmasked” A Faith Perspective on Money
