Playground and path imrpovments

As part of the Community Parks Programme, we have refurbished footpaths and access at Latchmere Recreation Ground, as well as improving the playground. The main central path was repaired and the path around the edge of the grounds, including linking paths, was widened and resurfaced. The playground works included replacing the roundabout, installing new climbing bars and a new self-closing entrance gate.

The improvements completed in March 2019. 

Friends of parks

The community groups that work in our parks make a huge difference to the quality of the spaces. They lead on all sorts of activities that make the park a better place. Some run events, some do a lot of gardening, improvements and planting, some run activities and many are involved in the future planning for the park.
