Council outcome performance

Council Performance

Progress against Kingston’s Council Plan is monitored through the delivery plan and the use of a selection of service performance indicators.
These are reported annually at the council’s strategic Corporate & Resources Committee and published on our corporate performance dashboard website, which is updated quarterly.

Introduction

Our corporate performance dashboard gives an overview of how well the Council is performing on a range of key performance indicators (KPIs) for each of the Council Plan’s outcomes.

Each KPI is assessed using a traffic light set of colours -  Red, Amber or Green - against its target, or is marked as a Tracker when a target cannot be set.

  • Red - result is more than 10% off of target
  • Amber - result has not met target, but is within 10% of it
  • Green - result has achieved target

Performance Dashboards

Each Council Plan outcome is represented by a dashboard that shows a high-level overview of how all its KPIs are performing. The dashboard shows the KPIs, how often the data is collected, when the latest data was collected, and how well the indicator is performing against its target and its polarity (whether a smaller or bigger result is better).

Single indicators

The ‘single indicators’ page allows you to see more details on individual performance indicators. Select a Council Plan Outcome, and then a performance indicator from the list of that outcome’s relevant indicators. The single indicator view will show you historical results in bar graphs with an accompanying written explanation of the performance.
