Adult social care vision and practice framework

Our vision for Adult Social Care and Health is to work together to make a positive difference in people's lives.

We'll do this by putting residents at the heart of everything we do, including:

  • Listening to and understanding your needs.
  • Recognising the strengths and challenges of our diverse communities.
  • Making sure safety is always a top priority.
  • Supporting and empowering our staff.
  • Working with partners to create healthier communities and connected care.
  • Using new ideas and learning from our work.
  • Giving you choices and high-quality services.
  • Ensuring our health and care system is financially stable.

Practice framework

We work to improve the lives of the people we support. Our goal is for you to have a positive experience with Adult Social Care and for our involvement to boost your wellbeing.

When our staff work with you, they use a 'strength-based' approach. This means we focus on your abilities and the support you can get from your family, friends, or community, as encouraged by the Care Act 2014. Our practice framework guides our staff in Kingston on how to use this approach in their daily work.
