Coronavirus (COVID-19) Vaccine
Vaccinations for Workers in Social Care
How to book your vaccine
If you work in social care, you can now book your vaccine appointment. By getting the vaccine you are protecting yourself, and the vulnerable people you care for. If you haven’t received a vaccine appointment notification from your employer to book your appointment you should:
- Ask your employer to contact the Adult Social Care Team by email at [email protected] to request an appointment on your behalf
- You will then receive a link through which you can book your vaccine appointment
Who can get the vaccine?
Social care staff currently able to receive the vaccine include:
- Those working in long-stay residential and nursing care homes or other long-stay facilities
- Social care staff directly involved in the care of their patients or clients
- Others involved directly in delivering social care such that they and vulnerable patients are at increased risk of exposure
