Kingston Youth Training Strings

The Kingston Youth Training Strings is a fun beginner's orchestra. It is made up of violins, violas, cellos, double basses, guitars, ukuleles. The orchestra rehearses for 55 minutes every week and like to play classical music and TV themes.

The Kingston Youth String Orchestra (KYSO) is our advanced orchestra for players of grade 2 to 6 standard. The group rehearse weekly during term time and like to play a varied repertoire.  As well as classical pieces, they also like to perform a lot of film music and have most recently enjoyed working on some of the fantastic repertoire highlighted by the BBC Ten Pieces Project.


Kingston Youth String Sinfonia

The Kingston Youth String Sinfonia (KYSS) is for advanced string players who are looking for a varied playing experience involving smaller chamber groups.
