Annual Learners Festival launches new year of courses at Kingston Adult Education
Local people were invited to come along to a free Learners Festival last week (Thursday 5 July) to discover some of the exciting opportunities Kingston Adult Education has to offer.
The festival, which was held at the King Charles Centre in Surbiton, coincided with the launch of Kingston Adult Education’s prospectus for 2018/19. New courses on offer include Chinese Brush Painting, Introduction to Psychology, History, Philosophy, History of Art, and learning the Japanese or Korean language.
There was work on display from learners, including ceramics, craft and art, as well as a language performance.
Cllr Diane White, Portfolio Holder with responsibility for Adult Education at Kingston Council, said:
"There are many opportunities to kick start or improve your personal or professional development with Kingston Adult Education and we are very proud of the breadth of courses we offer and the opportunities they bring.”
Sam Burgess, Head of Service for Kingston Adult Education, said:
