Kingston Council launches free community meeting room in the heart of the town centre

Members of the Kingston Race and Equalities Council sit with Deputy Leader, Cllr Malcolm Self in the community meeting space

Community groups in Kingston are invited to use a brand new meeting space in the Guildhall for free.

The Guildhall Community Room is available to be hired between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. The space is available until 9.30pm on days where there is an evening meeting being held in the building.

The room can hold up to 12 guests seated around an oval table. Catering can be provided at a cost.

On the announcement, Cllr Jon Tolley, Portfolio Holder for Resident Engagement, said:

“We're happy this beautiful space is to be opened up for community groups to use. Where meeting space is sometimes hard to come by, we want to facilitate people coming together to further develop what they give to our community.”
