Nominate your local superstars for a Mayor’s Community Award

Nominations are now open for local heroes who deserve special recognition at the Mayor’s Community Awards in March.

The Mayor is looking for people who have given up their own time to help other people or the community. They may deserve recognition for their supreme effort, strength, bravery or achievement.

Cllr Julie Pickering, Mayor of Kingston, said:

“This ceremony is one of the highlights of my year. There’s a huge amount of community spirit in Kingston and this is the time to celebrate this and nominate those who deserve our thanks. I look forward to reading the entries!”

There is also a special ‘young person’ community award for someone under the age of 21 who has set an example for their peers.

For more information, or to nominate someone, visit the Mayor’s Community Award webpage. The deadline for nominations is 10am on Monday 5 February 2017.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 13 March from 12noon to 2pm in the Council Chamber, Guildhall.
