Kingston International Film Festival 2023 launches on Friday 23 June with an exciting three-day programme that has something for everyone.

Movie magic returns to Kingston this weekend as film fans and industry great and good descend on the town for the second Kingston International Film Festival (KIFF).

Following the outstanding success of its inaugural year in 2022, KIFF2023 launches on Friday 23 June with an exciting programme that has something for everyone - from film buffs and families to industry professionals and aspiring film-makers.

Across three days from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June, the festival will showcase feature films, documentaries, shorts programmes, industry workshops, panels and pitching events.

The programme, which includes world and UK premiers*, also focuses on up-and-coming talent from around the world. Screenings will be held at fantastic venues across Kingston, including the Odeon and Curzon cinemas, Rose Theatre and Kingston University’s award-winning Townhouse. There will be a special outdoor screening of Sir Alan Parker’s kids’ classic, Bugsy Malone at Canbury Gardens on Saturday and a Gala Awards ceremony on the closing night.

BAFTA winning director Mike Newell, Academy Award winning actor Dame Vanessa Redgrave and Dungeons and Dragons actor Jason Wong are amongst the celebrated industry names supporting this year’s festival, which is again part-funded by Kingston Council.
