Mobile Testing Unit returns to Kingston

As part of national efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, a Mobile Testing Unit will be back in Kingston on Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 June .

Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 is eligible to be tested. We can all do our bit to help to stop the spread of the virus and keep our communities safe by booking a test as soon as possible if we become unwell, and following NHS guidance on self isolation

Tests can be booked on the NHS website. Additionally, essential workers can also visit the GOV.UK website to apply for a test.

People should only visit the MTU if they have a confirmed test appointment, and should drive to the testing site wherever possible. The unit will be in the Cattlemarket car park in Kingston town centre.

NHS contact tracing

The new NHS Test and Trace contact tracing programme has launched and is being promoted through a national campaign.

NHS Test and Trace aims to identify new cases of COVID-19 and reduce the spread of the virus by identifying contacts and requesting that they self-isolate. This will help the country to continue to open up again with more confidence.

More information on Test and Trace is available on the NHS website.
