Improving opportunities for vulnerable adults

We are working with Community Catalysts, a social enterprise, to improve opportunities for adults with learning disabilities and autism in Kingston.

Working with local partners and the volunteering community, Community Catalysts help people unlock their skills, passions and interests to do what they enjoy and share something with the community. This could be setting up a social activity group in the community or developing a small business. The key is that the focus is on what people can do - not what they can't.

Everyone who signs up is fully supported every step of the way, from coming up with an idea, finding a venue in the community to advertising it.

A launch event will be planned for March so we get as many people as possible involved in this initiative. You can keep up to date with the fantastic work taking place and details about the event on Community Catalyst’s website.
