State of the Borough Debate 2020

Our annual State of the Borough debate took place on 29 January at Chessington School. The topic this year, as voted for by residents, was “Growing Kingston Together”.

The evening took the format of a question time style debate, with a panel of experts including: Kirsten Henly (Kingston First); Claudia Penaranda (Transport for London); Prof. Steven Spier (Kingston University); Muhammad Muneer (Kingston University Student Union); Hammad Malik (Kingston and Richmond Youth Parliament); Forbes Low (Kingston Chamber of Commerce) and Andy Robinson (Idverde).

We’d like to thank the panelists and audience members who came along to join in with some great discussions on everything from the local economy to infrastructure.

If you couldn’t make it to the debate you can watch or listen to the recording online.

We really value your feedback and will be feeding this into council decision making in the future. If you couldn’t make it on the night, we’d like to keep the conversation going. To find out more about the event and share your views, visit the State of the Borough page.
