Designed with residents, the new look website is easier to use, making it quicker to find the information you need and simpler to complete tasks.
The council is actively encouraging anyone visiting the website to share their thoughts so we can continue to make our new website even better, together. There is a feedback option on every webpage to share your thoughts on your experience.
On the launch, Cllr Anita Schaper, Portfolio Holder for Communities, Commissioning and Customer Contact at Kingston Council, said:
Built around the needs of our residents and site visitors, our new platform has been designed to ensure information is easier to navigate and faster for you to do what you need to do. It has more flexibility to enable the council to continue to improve and adapt based on ongoing user feedback and data, and will ensure we can meet the changing needs of our communities for years to come
Development of the website included extensive research and working with residents and communities to co-design a fully accessible service, to the latest Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 AA). This project reflects Kingston’s commitment to putting our communities at the heart of all we do, ensuring that our digital services are accessible to everyone, and remain efficient and fit for the future.
