The Royal Borough of Kingston Council (RBK) recognises and values the contribution that local Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations make towards achieving the Council’s aim to empower people and strengthen communities. As such, the Council developed the VCSE Grants Scheme (small grants under £40,000) to support organisations in Kingston to achieve community outcomes.

Each of the avaliable grant had their own priorities and objectives. In order to receive a grant, applicants were asked to strongly demonstrate how they will meet these priorities and objectives as well as how will they use the funding to meet resident outcomes in Kingston.

Grant applicants were also required to support the delivery of the Council and Voluntary and Community Sector strategy “Empowering People, Supporting Communities”.

Applications were assessed and scored against questions to identify the extent to which they meet the priorities set out for the specific grant as well as how the applying group will support the objectives of the VCS strategy. In addition, applicants were required to demonstrate how they will monitor the delivery of these priorities and outcomes over the duration of the grant funding period.
