Smoke Alarm Give away for Private Rented Tenants.
If you are a private sector tenant, your landlord must ensure that you have a working smoke alarm at the start of your tenancy.
If you do not have a smoke alarm or the alarm is not working, the Council will provide you with a 10 year battery smoke alarm, FREE of charge.
