Tree planting

The council is planning to plant at least 1500 new trees over the next three years and in the planting season of 2018/19 (Nov - Feb), Kingston Council planted 527 street trees and over 1,000 saplings with the support of local communities in our green spaces.

We asked residents to tell us where they want to see trees and which species they like in our winter tree planting consultation and this winter we are planning to plant over 600 trees in parks and green spaces.

We aim to have no net loss of trees. Where trees have to be removed due to death, disease or decay, we aim to replant in the area. In this section you can find information about some of the planned works - both removal and replanting.
