Volunteering opportunities

The Kingston Buddy Scheme

The Buddy Scheme is a befriending project that matches volunteers with individuals with learning disabilities, aged 18 and over, so they can enjoy their social time and leisure activities.

"The Buddy Scheme is incredibly flexible. Whether it is a day out to the Zoo, evening at the cinema or a simple catch up over coffee, any time that you are able to offer can make such a positive difference.  It's a lot of fun and I've met some really great people too."

Ballet Boyz

BalletBoyz in partnership with YMCA, run weekly Inclusive dance classes, every Thursday at their studio in Kingston-Upon-Thames.

These creative movement classes are for ages 14+ and 18+, pan-disability, and provide the opportunity for everybody to dance, move, laugh and learn, with specialist dance instructor, Karl Morgan.

To run these classes, we rely on regular volunteers who provide invaluable support through taking part and dancing with our participants. We welcome all ages (18+) and experience, and we can provide DBS checks.

Please email [email protected] to find out more.
