If you have a small amount of garden waste to put out, you may benefit from our biodegradable garden bags scheme.
You buy a roll of garden bags from us and then use them as and when you need them. Just place your garden bags out with your normal fortnightly bin collection and your garden waste will be removed by the waste collection team.
Sacks should be placed on your property at the boundary with the kerbside by 6am and should be clearly visible from the road.
The bags are biodegradable and start to break down when used and left outside. Try not to fill bags too far in advance of your collection, and store the bags in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Biodegradable bags can only be purchased between April and December each year and must be used up by March.
A roll of 10 garden bags cost £34. Each bag has a 60 litre capacity. You can buy garden bags by using our online form.
Your bags will be delivered to you within seven to 10 working days.
