Resident engagement events on the council’s priorities and finances
In December 2018 and January 2019, the council held four engagement events where residents heard first hand from councillors about the financial pressures facing the borough as it plans the 2019/20 budget. Councillors were also keen to hear resident’s views about the council’s priorities.
As part of the events there was an opportunity to discuss and share ideas with others from the local community. We are currently analysing the feedback and will be sharing this with councillors and senior leaders within the council. A feeback report will be made available on our online engagement portal.
Whilst this round of Let’s Talk sessions were focused on helping to shape the council’s priorities and budget, further Let’s Talk sessions will look at a range of other topics to ensure residents can have their say on local matters that are important to them.
