  • Thursday 10am to 7pm
  • Friday, 10am to 5pm
  • Saturday, 10am to 5pm
  • Sunday, closed 
  • Closed bank holidays 

If you can't visit us we also offer a research service. You can also search our collections catalogue online.

  • maps
  • local newspapers on microfilm
  • photographs of the borough
  • oral histories and other audio materials
  • access to online sources such as Ancestry and the British Newspaper Archive
  • a database of Victorian sources, courtesy of Kingston University  
  • research material relating to pioneer photographer, Eadweard Muybridge
  • variety of local interest journals and magazines

What we hold in our stores (you can request these):

  • the Royal Borough's archives dating from 1208
  • local newspapers
  • Eadweard Muybridge collection
