Former Mayors

1835 to 1964

The three former boroughs of Malden and Coombe, Kingston and Surbiton were amalgamated in 1965 to form the present Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames.

Apart from a short period in 1685-87 the position of Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston dates from the municipal reforms of 1835. Prior to this the civic heads were two annually appointed Bailiffs.
