Events at Surbiton Library Hall

Surbiton Library Hall is used by a variety of groups throughout the week.

Mondays

9.40am to 11.40am – Tiny Tunes

  • Tiny Tunes provides baby and toddler music and movement classes for three months to five year olds. Tiny Tunes also provides nursery sessions as well as parties.
  • During a session you can hide under giant parachutes, dance with pom poms, pop a room full of bubbles and chat to our puppet friend Mr Tiny. Music and singing helps your child to socialise and develop in a stimulating environment. On a regular basis this can help with your child’s speech, language and listening skills.

3.45pm to 7.30pm – Dancestars

  • Dancestars offers RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern classes for children aged two years and over in Surrey, Middlesex and South West London. Classes are full of fun, offering a safe and enjoyable learning environment, so just come along and have a go.

8pm to 10pm – Surbiton Arts Group

  • Surbiton Arts Group meets twice a month on Monday at 8pm for a variety of activities, including demonstrations by artists, lectures by professional art critics, assessment and appreciation of member’s work and practical painting and drawing evenings.
  • There is something for beginners and experienced artists and all are welcome. Non members are welcome to attend an evening for a charge of £4. If you wish to join Surbiton Arts Group, the annual subscription is £25 which includes entrance to all club evenings and exhibitions.

10.15am to 11.45am – MOVE-IT study group

  • Enhanced group motivational interviewing intervention focusing upon improving diet and increasing physical activity as part of a randomised controlled trial entitled MOVE-IT (Motivationally Enhanced Interviewing Trial) which is being run by King's College London and St. George's University of London. Participants by referral only.
  • MOVE-IT seeks to compare the effectiveness of group motivational interviewing, individual motivational interviewing and usual care in reducing cardiovascular risk in individuals who have received a high risk score on the NHS health check.
