Music & Tech

Mondays 4:30-5:15pm and 5:15-6:00pm

This is an introduction to music technology for students aged 7-12.  Students learn how to use programmes such as Garageband and O-Generator and the skills necessary to make their own beats and songs.

Music Production Course

We run a Music Production course based in our recording studio at the Hook Centre on Monday evenings 6:00-7:15pm.

Building on the skills from the Music & Tech course, the Production Course is suitable for young people aged 11-14. Participants learn how to produce, record and mix their own music taught by an experienced studio engineer.  Participants have opportunities to collaborate with other students in the group on projects or complete independent tasks on our Macbooks.

These courses run similarly to our music theory lessons. Students will work on the Rockschool Music Production syllabus and, if they wish, can enter the exam at the end of the term.

The cost is £72 per term or is free with an activity passport.
