Join Team Kingston

If you are between 11 and 18 years of age,  London Youth Games offer you the chance to compete in a wide range of sports throughout the year.

33 London boroughs take part in the Youth Games and competitions take place at venues around the capital throughout the year. The finals weekend takes place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre in July.

London Youth Games 2017

Complete our London Youth Games application form to apply:

  • make sure that the participant is eligible and that they either live in or go to school/college in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames
  • make sure that the participant falls within the stated age group/school years of your chosen sport(s)

Check the competition dates - if you select more than one sport and the competition dates are the same you will only be allowed to do one.

London Youth Games Cross Country 2017

Cross Country is the first event of the 2017 London Youth Games season and will be held on Saturday 19 November 2016 at Parliament Hill. Team Kingston will be managed by The Stragglers Running Club.

Applications are welcome for the U17, U15 ,U13 and U11 age groups and are open now to those that either live in or go to school/college in the borough of Kingston.

Age groups are as follows

  • U11 -  born between 1/9/2005 and 31/08/2006
  • U13 - born between 1/9/2003 and 19/11/2005
  • U15 - born between 1/9/2001 and 31/08/2003
  • U17 - born between 1/9/1999 and 31/8/2001

How you can take part

All applicants must complete an official parkrun between 6 August and 16 October 2016 and have a parkrun number (this is a barcode number) before filling out the application form. 

If you haven't already registered for a local parkrun please visit the parkrun website to register and bring your barcode with you to parkrun or your time will not be recorded. You should register no later than 6pm on the Friday before you wish to run.

Local parkruns are held at Bushy Park, Richmond Park and the Hawker Centre Kingston. Junior Park runs are held at Alexandra Recreation ground in Surbiton.
Applicants will then be selected according to the eight fastest times in their age group.
Online applications 
Once  you have completed your park run you can register for Team Kingston.

Please complete the online application form, all fields are compulsory. A parent/guardian must complete the consent section of the application.

The closing date to submit entries is Sunday 15 October, at which time the online form will no longer be available. Late entries cannot be accepted due to competition deadlines.

After submitting the form, we advise that you print the on-screen summary for your records and keep the confirmation email as proof that your application has been submitted. We wish you good luck and look forward to receiving your application.
