Staying Active: Free and low-cost activities to stay active.
There are many groups, services and venues, available throughout the borough, where you can find low cost or free activities to help you keep active, meet new people and try new things. Some activities have been set up specifically to support people dealing with stress and anxiety as well.
Chair-based exercise/yoga, getting back to exercise, classes for the over 50s, as well as walking, cycling, and rowing are on offer. See Connected Kingston for physical activity sessions and more for adults.
There are also a range of inclusive sports opportunities on Connected Kingston suitable for people living with disabilities.

Mental health support
For many people, money worries may feel overwhelming. It can be extremely stressful and affect your mental wellbeing.
To help you cope, Connected Kingston lists a range of services and supportive advice and tips, from dealing with anxiety to free local counselling services to confidential helplines, and specific information for those feeling isolated.

For support for adults in a crisis
- Ring or text a friend or family member.
- Local NHS Mental Health crisis team on 0800 028 8000. This is open 24/7.
- Samaritans - online or call 116 123 free for confidential support for anyone experiencing distress or despair. They offer a listening service.
- SHOUT offers text support any time, text SHOUT to 85258
- NHS 111 by dialling 111.
For support for children and young people in a crisis
- Local NHS Mental Health crisis team on 020 3228 5980, Monday to Friday 5pm-11pm. Saturday to Sunday & Bank Holidays 9am to 11pm. Out of hours please call the adult helpline on 0800 028 8000.
- If you need urgent help, text SHOUT to 85258. Shout can provide 24/7 text support.
- You can also call Childline Call 0800 1111 for free to speak to someone about what's happening and how you're feeling.
