Sign up (by Wednesday 16 August) for our FREE Community Engagement for Health Course and gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to get involved in your local community. 

The course* runs on Wednesdays over 13 weeks between 6 September and 13 December 2017 from 10am until 4pm in the United Reformed Church, Kingston.

This nationally accredited course provides an opportunity for you to acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to get involved in your local community.

You will:

  • learn how to identify and understand your communities' needs
  • find out about community groups and other organisations in the borough
  • gain an understanding about the effects of lifestyle and environment on health and wellbeing
  • learn about health and lifestyle services and support in Kingston
  • find out about volunteering and creating your own group to gain confidence and knowledge to empower you and your community

*The course is open to residents of the Royal Borough of Kingston and requires a good level of spoken and written English.
