Kingston Carnival

Sounds and colours from across the world will fill Kingston town centre as we welcome back the borough's biggest festival on Sunday 2 September for a celebration of cultural diversity.

Kingtson Carnival promises to be even more spectacular than previous years, with two main stages and a bigger procession parade featuring modern music, cultural arts and dance groups bringing carnival vibes from the previous weekend’s Notting Hill Carnival, including Elimu Paddington Arts, Phoenix Arts and Tribo.

For anyone wishing to come along and enjoy the event, the colourful procession takes place between 12-1pm and starts at the Guildhall in Kingston town centre, with stalls and performances in the Market Place, Kingston High Street, All Saints Church and in the Rose Theatre, throughout the day.

Please note that there will be temporary road closures for short durations during the day to allow safe passage for the carnival procession:

  • High Street, Eden Street, St James Road, Union Street, Brook Street, Ashdown Road, Lady Booth Road, Clarence Street
  • temporary delays for short duration closures to allow safe passage for carnival procession
  • Sunday, 2 September 2018 from 6am to 9pm
