Kingston Carnival

Sounds and colours from across the world will fill Kingston town centre as we welcome Carnival on Sunday 2 September. The theme this year is 'uniting communities to make friends and have fun'.

You can be part of the action as the Carnival procession kicks off at 12 noon at Guildhall, goes through the High Street and Eden Street, along Clarence Street and into the Market Place and then ends back at the Guildhall.

There will be two performance stages with fantastic artists to keep everyone entertained. Community performances and local musicians will take to the Colin Bloxham stage outside Guildhall, including Bollywood Bands and exciting beats of the The Dhol Squad.

Professional bands and musicians will be providing carnival vibes on the Prabha Shetty stage in the Ancient Market Place.

A sound system will also be playing in the Apple Market, with a mix of reggae, soca and other new sounds.

There will also be Indian head massage, reflexology, martial arts, capoeira, zumba dancers, street dance, face painting, henna, circus skills and much more in Clarence Street, Market Place, Memorial Square, Eden Walk and the front of the Guildhall.

Special activities will be provided for children in the Memorial Garden and in the grass area of All Saints Church, Everyday Church and in the market place.
