Refuge provides support for victims of VAWG and Domestic Abuse in Kingston. We are now the single point of access for Domestic Abuse, Sexual violence and rape, stalking, trafficking and FGM (Female Genital Mutilation).
We provide free, confidential, non-judgmental and independent support to anyone who is experiencing abuse. Whatever your age, sex, gender, sexuality, religion, race or disability, we will either directly support you or link you with the service most appropriate for your needs.
We provide:
- Independent gender violence advocates (IGVAs) to support both women and men who are at high risk of serious harm.
- Early intervention service for 13–20-year-old girls and women.
- A group programme called Own My Life for women focusing on the dynamics of domestic abuse – both face to face and online.
The hub is not a drop-in service, but if you wish, a worker will arrange to meet with you and talk to you face to face.
