Sir Francis Barker
Sir Francis Barker provided this land for recreational purposes and relaunched the neighbouring cricket club in 1919 as part of this gesture to the community, we hope he would be pleased with this new design.
The refreshed toddler area will feature a four tower activity multi play unit with a range of activities to support climbing and imaginative play, two seated springers and new accessible equipment including a floor trampoline and wheelchair roundabout.
The junior area will benefit from a new three-way seesaw, spinner bowl and standing spinner. This will create a wealth of different activities including, climbing, rocking, spinning, sliding, rotating, bouncing, swinging, social play, balance, challenge and learning.
A basket swing with new coloured flooring will also be introduced.
The existing benches, as well as the swings with cardle seats, trim trail, three tower multiplay unit and multi play unit will be retained and refreshed.
