If you are moving into a property within the borough please complete our online form. You will need to give the following information:

If you’re new to Kingston or liable to pay Council Tax for the first time, let us know so we can set up your account.

Renting:

• give the date your tenancy starts
• give the date you are moving into the property
• whether the property is furnished or unfurnished
• details of the people who will be living there – the number and their names

Buying:

• the completion date on the purchase of the property
• the date that you are moving furniture into the property
• the number of adults over the age of 18 years living in the property
• the full names of the adults living in the property

Landlords

Let us know if your tenants are moving in or out. 

What happens next?

When you register online, we’ll send you your Council Tax bill within 10 working days. Once you have a council tax account number you can start paying your Council Tax.

We’ll also provide you with an online key so you can access your account online, view payment history, and view copies of any letters we’ve sent you and a breakdown of payments and charges.
